Festivities for The Water’s Edge 20th Anniversary Celebration and Grand Reopening will kick off with a Media Day and Pro-Am Golf Tournament on Thursday, May 29th. Representatives from local, regional and national media will be covering the Grand Reopening as well as playing in the golf tournament. In addition, we have invited PGA Professionals from various clubs across Southwest Virginia as well as our men’s and women’s golf committees.
The celebration will continue on Friday, May 30th with an exclusive member golf tournament and cookout on the terrace. We are anticipating a large member turnout and will be offering both a morning and afternoon shotgun start. The format will consist of the best two balls net of the foursome. There will be lots of prizes and great competition with a men’s and ladies’ division. The cookout will take place on the terrace and lunch will be served between 11:30 am 1:30 pm. The entry fee is $25.00, which includes lunch and entry fee.
Please return the enclosed registration form or sign up in the Pro Shop. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Saturday, May 31st. For additional information or questions, call the Pro Shop at 576-3343. The 20th Anniversary Celebration and Grand Reopening festivities will conclude with a black tie dinner and party on Saturday, May 31st. Join us for cocktails (cash bar) from 6:30 7:30 pm. A sit down dinner will follow in the ballroom. Chef will be serving Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon. For full menu, please see page 9. Following dinner, music and dancing will be provided by the fabulous Catalinas band. Cost for the event is $75.00++. Again, we are anticipating a large member turnout for this event, so reservations are required. Contact the club at 576-1556 to make reservations.
